As a 15-year Tumwater resident, I am passionate about our community, and I know that together we can solve some of our city's most pressing issues. I am a proud father of three school aged children and I want to make this city a safe, inclusive, and prosperous one for them to grow up in.
My priorities for council will include addressing the affordable housing crisis, reducing houselessness, creating a more safe and inclusive city for our children, and addressing climate change.
My passion is investing in our future generations so that they can lead us into a more sustainable and successful future. I know that with community engagement and stakeholder collaboration, we can address our affordable healthcare crisis and economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. We have the opportunity to create more jobs by creating trade facilities that prioritize the training of young medical professional students.
I am currently a business subject matter expert who works in health enforcement management systems, meaning that I have become intimately familiar with the health policies and programs in WA state and how they disproportionately impact impoverished communities, communities of color, and communities composed of single-parent households or households with veterans. I want to ensure that our city is doing everything in its power to make the health and safety of its residents a priority and is meeting them halfway to ensure they have access to the resources they need to thrive. I was an analyst with the WA State Department of Health in their Certificate of need program for 15 years, meaning I understand first hand what healthcare facilities need to do before they are able to gain state support for their facilities.
I hope that you will trust me with your vote on August 3rd and November 2nd.
